Cold Rooms and Blast Freezer — Güntner Evaporators

About This Project

PUF panel cold rooms and a low temperature blast freezer built and commissioned at [LOCATION] for [CLIENT / INDUSTRY]. The rooms are finished in insulated sandwich panel with coved floor junctions, PVC strip curtains at the door openings and a controller-managed defrost cycle on each coil.

Ceiling-suspended Güntner unit coolers were mounted along the room wall with drain lines trace-heated and run to the nearest gully so condensate cannot freeze in the line. The blast freezer holds a room temperature of −33 °C, confirmed on the room controller during the load test, with the cold rooms held at [COLD ROOM TEMPERATURE] °C for [PRODUCT STORED].

Scope covered panel erection, door frames and strip curtains, evaporator mounting and levelling, refrigerant pipework with insulated suction lines, electrical and control wiring, and the room controllers with their temperature displays and alarm set points. After pressure testing, vacuum and charging, each room was pulled down from ambient to set point and the pull-down curve recorded before handover. Capacity is [CAPACITY] MT across [NUMBER OF ROOMS] rooms.
